Summer is here at last! We welcome our international travellers, we offer a good rate for this area of just $48.00/night for two adults on a non powered tent site, or $54.00/night on power. Email us and we will book you in.

February Family Special! If you are a family and want to get away with your tent , we can offer you our family special for the month of February of just $48.00/night on a non powered site for up to six family members. We have an indoor and outdoor kitchen, a dining lounge, laundry and dryers and clean bathroom facilities.

We offer FREE WIFI and FREE showers to all our campers.

Your pets are welcome back after Waitangi Weekend, from Monday 10th February.

NZMCA members! We start our NZMCA Winter Over rates on 1st March, if you stay a minimum of a week with us, it is only $130.00/week for two adults on power. Contact us by email or phone if you would like to book a site.

For over 58 years we have been providing spacious, safe, and action-packed holidays at an affordable rate in one of New Zealand’s most beautiful holiday locations. With space for children to bike, plenty of adventure play areas, bush and glow worm walks… the list goes on, of course there is our 60 metre water slide (open mid-December to 25th January) and we are just ten minutes walk to the beautiful Kaiteriteri beach.

Facilities

33 hectares of fun

Over the Park’s 33 hectares we have two playgrounds, paddock golf, badminton and volleyball court, a children’s BMX track, the 60 metre water slide and of course wide open spaces for families to explore, ride bikes, bush walk or just play volleyball, cricket and petanque on The Green… a place for families to have fun and be safe. There are five separate toilet and shower blocks, two laundries, three dump stations and two large indoor/outdoor kitchen and BBQ areas.

Bethany Park is an awesome place to base your camp from – lots of activities are in close proximity, such as mountain biking, tramping, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, etc. The waterslide in the campgrounds is an extra bonus and a hit with everyone – adults included! The accommodation is perfect for school camps and the hosts are very hospitable and welcoming – nothing is a problem. We return every year and our students love their time here.

For 20 years Chilton Saint James School’s students have absolutely loved staying at Bethany Park for their Year 9 camp.

The camp staff are organised, easy to deal with and always keen to help the students have a safe and happy time. The location of the camp, at the entrance to the beautiful Abel Tasman National Park, enable easy access to the Park, the beach, the sea and bushwalks – so the activities available are many and varied. The providers in the area, such as sea-kayaking, abseiling and water taxis, deliver first class service and expertise.

Bethany Park is spacious with comfortable cabins, clean amenities, a great dining/ recreation hall and cosy conversation pit. The food is always excellent and specific dietary needs are well catered for.

The wonderful weather is a bonus, for many years we came to Kaiteriteri in September and what a treat it was to leave cold (maybe windy) Wellington behind to bask in lovely spring sunshine.

I unreservedly recommend Bethany Park for a memorable camp experience.

We loved the big park/playground at Camp 1 under the shade of the trees. Loved the atmosphere and how clean things were kept. The linen was an awesome option and really nice clean fresh things. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved movie nights. We like all the signage around and the safe environment. 🙂

We love this camp ground. Friendly staff and very clean and tidy facilities. There is lovely music playing in the ablution blocks. We will be back soon.

We stayed here two nights. Loads of space and we had free choice to where we parked. We walked down to the beach – about 10 minutes along a track and also along the coast to Stephens Bay. The paths are well marked and easy to follow. Even though it was a weekend and there were lots of children around the site was really quiet. Showers and loos were super clean. Great place.

I really liked the feel of this campsite! Very friendly and safe. Yes it’s a big site but they definitely have enough facilities. Great indoor/outdoor kitchen area with bbqs and plenty of toilets & showers. The plots are also really good size! Was nice to stay here after staying at freedom camping sites. Also free movie most nights at 7pm!

Bethany Park is fantastic! If you enjoy beaches, mountain biking, swimming, kayaking, abseiling & tramping you’ll love Bethany Park as a base for your camping experience. The people are great to deal with. The facilities are clean, well maintained and new projects are always on the go. Personally I’ve been taking classes for 12 years and Ranzau’s association stretches a lot further back than that (long may it last). Ranzau School loves it!

A very well kept campsite, absolutely spotless. Very friendly staff who gave us good information about both local sights and recommendations about places worth a visit further afield. We stayed two nights and we were very pleased with everything! One of the best campsites we’ve been to during our travels through the country.

Everything you want in school camp

In 1966 the Strawbridge family donated the original piece of land, now ‘creatively’ known as Camp One for the benefit of youth and the community in the Nelson region. We have been welcoming schools and youth groups ever since. We have bunkhouse accommodation and teacher cottages, with catering and non-catering options available.

Conference and Training Venues

Looking for a unique location and venue for your training course or conference, which is central to the many activities and places of interest the stunning Nelson region has to offer? Our Camp One can sleep up to 74, with two venues to choose from and is open from February through to November. We have the Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park on our doorstep, literally, and walking or kayaking in the Abel Tasman Park. We would love to help as getting people gathered together is what Bethany Park is all about.

Our Group’s Camp, Camp One is closed to Groups from mid-December to end of January, as we open it up for summer camping for our Kiwi families.

NZMCA Winter-Over

Join our winter community

We welcome all NZMCA members and can offer excellent rates for members who would like to stay one night or more. Our new Bethany WinterSaver rate for NZMCA members is just $38.00/night for two on power or non power, and $19.00/night for one adult. This offer runs from 1st March, 2025 through to 30th November, 2025.

If you are wanting to stay a week or more, our Winter Over rate of $130.00/week for two adults ($110.00/week for one adult) on power is available from 1st March-30th November, 2025. For more details on Wintering over with us, please go to the NZMCA page and download the PDF file.
